Iceland's president Guðni Th. Jóhannesson has said that he is “fundamentally opposed” to pineapple on pizzas. Would you agree?! Or not!?
The president went on to say that if he could, he would ban the tropical fruit as a pizza topping. BAN IT! Now in further dialogue he has stated that the President "does not have the power to make laws which forbid people to put pineapples on their pizza... I am glad I do not hold such power.”
So pineapple pizza lovers in Iceland are safe for now. However it has started debate on the matter across the world. In a world dominated by political unrest and.. well... Trump, it's kind of refreshing to see people debating over another - yet important - issue.
Iceland's President is the hero we all need right now... #pineappleonpizza

President Jóhannesson, your ideas on a pineapple pizza ban are wrong, short sighted and ill advised. #pineappleonPizza #letmypizzafree
