Police hunting a Ross Geller lookalike have confirmed they've identified a suspect.
The manhunt went viral last month after officers in Blackpool released a CCTV image of the thief, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Ross in Friends.
The man had shoplifted a crate of beer from a restaurant in the city on September 20th.
Actor David Schwimmer, who played Ross in the hit US sitcom, jokingly re-created the theft on Twitter, saying: "I swear it wasn’t me."
Officers, I swear it wasn't me.
As you can see, I was in New York.
To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation.#itwasntme pic.twitter.com/EDFF9dZoYR— schwim (@DavidSchwimmer) October 24, 2018
Now, police claim the thief is a man from London who was on holidays in Blackpool.
According to the Mirror, officers have said: "We believe the person is from the London area. We are working with the Met to trace and arrest him."
The man also reportedly robbed a jacket, wallet and mobile phone while he was on his break away.
