Make Halloween poochtacular not spooktacular.
It's the season of witches and ghosts but Halloween can be a particularly scary time for your pet.
Loud noises, bright lights and little strangers calling to the door can all result in a frightened four legged friend.
When your pet is scared, they're at greater risk of injury or straying.

Dogs Trust Ireland has issued some advice to help you keep your fur baby safe this Halloween.
- Don't bring your dog trick or treating. The lights and noise could cause him/her to bolt.
- Walk your dog before it gets dark to avoid the trick or treating and fireworks and flashing lights.
- Don't leave your pet alone outdoors during the Halloween period.
- Provide a safe hiding place indoors for your pet. Close the curtains and turn up the volume on your TV or radio to drown out scary noises.
- Be extra careful when opening the door as your pet may escape.

- Keep treats and sweets away from dogs, especially chocolate and raisins.
- Never force your dog to wear a costume – a loosely tied festive doggie bandana is more comfortable for your furry friend.
