After her stirring speech at the Golden Globe Awards, many people thought Oprah Winfrey might be ramping up to run for President of the United States.
Not so says Winfrey. In an interview backstage after accepting the Cecil B DeMille Award for lifetime achievement, Oprah was told about how her potential candidacy was trending on social media.
When asked if she planned to run, Winfrey said, "I don't. I don't."
Even with the denial, speculation still looms. CNN reported Winfrey is "actively thinking" about a presidential run citing two of her unidentified friends.
