It doesn't matter how old you are or how famous. Your parents will always find ways to embarrass you.
Jimmy Kimmel proved this when he revealed that while he was hosting the Oscars, his mother was handing out homemade cookies to the audience.
The presenter only found out after the ceremony that his mum Joan had baked cookies in the shape of an Oscar, put glitter on them and packed them into Tupperware boxes.
She then smuggled them into the event and started passing them around while her son was on stage.
Returning to his regular show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, the star admitted:
“She gave Steven Spielberg a cookie. And he ate it. Which really just goes to show, even when you’re 50 years old and hosting the Academy Awards, you can still be embarrassed by mommy at work.”

Another celeb who might be a bit mortified by her parents is Saoirse Ronan.
Her dad Paul is making his debut on Fair City tonight. He's landed a new long-term role in the RTÉ soap playing a character called Anto Collins.
The news comes days after his daughter was up for the Best Actress award at the Oscars.
Fair City is a show we all love to slate but we're sure the ratings will go through the roof tonight.
