An alleged drug boss has been arrested despite going to great lengths to evade capture.
"El Betito", who's believed to be the leader of Mexico City's notorious Tepito Union gang, was apprehended in the capital.
Police photos show the 37 year old looking dramatically different - he's lost around 30kg after undergoing gastric band surgery and now sports a full head of hair and a beard.
Older images show El Betito with a double chin and receding hairline.
When he was captured in Mexico City, he was carrying $10,000 (€8,784), drugs and a handgun.
He's being investigated over various murders, kidnappings, extortion and drug dealing.
