Man proposes to girlfriend by writing on the side of a cow

Will moo marry me?!

A farmer enlisted the help of one of his cows when he popped the question to his girlfriend.

Scottish man Chris Gospel scrawled 'will you marry me' on the side of his cow Curlytop and brought his other half, Eilidh Fraser, out to see her.

The 30 year old got down on one knee after Eilidh read the message.

Speaking to BBC Scotland, Chris said he was relieved that Eilidh said yes:

"She is around the cows most nights so I managed to write the proposal, and then said we should go down and see her after she got back from work."

"Curlytop came up to us and Eilidh said 'what have you done?' Eilidh turned round and I went down on one knee - and she said yes."

Eilidh, who works as a microbiologist, revealed that Curlytop is her favourite cow as she hand-fed her and she's remains affectionate.
