Fajitas are delicious - but would you go to jail for them?!
A man's been sentenced to 50 years behind bars for stealing $1.2 million worth of fajitas.
Gilberto Escamilla from Texas worked at the Cameron County Juvenile Justice Department accepting food deliveries.
Over the course of nine years, the 53 year old ordered thousands of pounds of fajitas, which weren't on the menu at the detention centre, and sold them on.
His deception was discovered when he took a day off for a medical appointment.
The same day, a driver from a food company called the Justice Department's kitchen, saying their 800 pound delivery of fajita meat had arrived.
The confused staff member said they never ordered fajitas but the driver said the company had been making that delivery for the past nine years.
Gilberto Escamilla was subsequently arrested and charged with first-degree felony theft.
He was sentenced to half a century in prison.
