You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em
An Indian woman's divorced her husband after discovering that he had gambled away their son.
The man, named only as Moshin, is a well-known gambling addict and was betting against a man named Imran in New Dehli.
The Times of India reports he put his entire family on stake, his wife and two children, and lost.
His distraught wife protested and so a panchayat - or village council - was called to decide the case.
The payment was subsequently reduced to just the one child.
Moshin's wife filed a police complaint against him and five other men, but it was not taken seriously and they refused to take the case.
She then demanded a divorce and remarried.
The incident took place back in 2015 but only came to light this week after police finally agreed to investigate.
