BMJ Case Report are warning people about the dangers of holding in a sneeze.
It's something that many of us tend to do- when a sneeze (naturally) catches you off guard, we tend to grab and hold our noses to prevent any, uhm... spillages?!
Doctors from the ear, nose, throat department at Leicester Royal Infirmary, where the man was treated, said: "Halting a sneeze via blocking nostrils and mouth is a dangerous manoeuvre and should be avoided." pic.twitter.com/YHE49iDbcr
