The man who voiced the clip that's at the centre of the Yanny or Laurel debate has revealed what he actually said during the recording.
Actor and singer Jay Aubrey Jones originally recorded the word for vocabulary.com in 2007.
The 64 year old has now set the record straight on which word he was actually saying.
And...it's Laurel!
The clip resurfaced last week when it was shared by a Reddit user who asked people what they could hear in the recording.
It quickly went viral, sparking a furious debate online.
Mr Jones is amused by the whole debacle. Speaking to TIME, he said:
"I recorded my batch of words...and I thought that was that."
