A new study suggests that men who eat nuts as part of their diet have a better sperm count.

Men who ate a 60g daily dose of almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts were found to have a 16% higher sperm count than those who didn't.

Dr Albert Salas-Huetos, from Rovira I Virgili University in Reus in Spain said that evidence is accumulating that healthy lifestyle changes such as having a hwalthy dietary pattern may help conception.

Omega-3 fatty acids, folate and antioxidants are found in nuts, and have previously been shown to enhance sperm.

119 healthy men who were split into two goups participated in the atudy, all aged between 18 to 35 and were sudied over a fourteen-week period.
