The stunning Ashford Castle in Co Mayo re-opened after a refurbishment earlier this year, and the Five Star location was voted No 1 Resort and Inn in GB and Ireland for 2016.
The hotel website states that it's fully restored to its historic splendour, has state-of-the-art Spa with top of the range treatments, hosts dignitaries and celebs and boasts 83 luxurious rooms and suites including a Lakeside Cottage. It's the cottage we're interested in today!

According to Independent.ie, the estate's former boathouse on Lough Corrib includes one swanky bedroom, an entry hall and a marble bathroom. The cost is a mere €3000 per night. Not bad right!?
