A Mayo woman is on course to become the first Irish person in space.
Dr Norah Patten from Ballina was one of of 12 participants from around the world selected to take part in a unique scientist-astronaut training programme in Florida in October. She's now on the list of candidates available to go to space.
The 34 year old's been fascinated with space since she was a child and has a PhD in Aeronautical Engineering from University of Limerick.
Dave Duke spoke to Norah about her voyage so far.
