The rapper wants to give back after his family had to evacuate their home.
Kanye West is to donate half a million dollars to two charities following the devastating wildfires in California.
TMZ reports that the 41 year old is to give the money to the California Community Foundation's Wildfire Relief Fund and the California Fire Foundation.
Kanye, his wife Kim and their three children had to evacuate their $60 million mansion last week after the flames came dangerously close to the property.
It was revealed that the pair had hired private firefighters to save, not only their own house, but all the houses on their block.
Photos have emerged of their sprawling residence and how alarmingly close it came to going up in flames.
Kanye took to Twitter to thank the firefighters, stating "They are our true heroes."
Celebrities who lost their homes in the wildfires include Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth, Gerard Butler and Robin Thicke.
The death toll currently stands at 84.
In light of these situations, I am so inspired by the firefighters and first responders who are risking their lives to do whatever they can to help. They are our true heroes.
We must all come together during these difficult times to support each other
May God Bless us all
