“Is there anything I can do, specifically to you, that would help me get the job?”
A recruiter has revealed the “shocking” moment a woman sent him a text message offering a sexual favour in exchange for a job.
The woman had sent in her resume to apply for a receptionist job in Melbourne, Australia.
The recruiter, a man by the name of Graham Wynn texted the woman to arrange an interview, and asked her which time would be the most suitable.
Upon reply the woman said: “Hi Graham. Is there anything I can do, specifically to you, that would help me get the job?” she wrote, adding a “winking” emoji.
“Just to come and meet me and will see what I can do for you,” he replied.
She wrote back, “Blow job?”
Speaking to news.com.au Mr Wynn said he considered sending nothing back, but after a while he chose to respond with:
“Refraining from ever sending texts like that would help. In general showing unethical traits or an inappropriate sense of humour tends to detract from one’s chances of getting a job.”
Mr Wynn has heard “nothing back since then”.
He also added that he was shocked that he ended up in such a scenario considering “all the harassment and #MeToo campaigns”.
We highly doubt she'll be getting that interview!
