Irish Eurovision hopeful Brendan Murray represents Ireland in the semi-finals tonight with the hope of getting himself to the final on Saturday.
Although we still hold the record for the most number of victories, Ireland hasn't made it to the grand final of the competition since 2013 and the days of us winning are a distant memory.
Is it time we admit we're not good at it any more and throw in the towel?
This made us think about some of the things that Irish people really aren't great at:
1.Why can't we take compliments? It's like we're genetically designed to forcefully reject any light compliment that comes our way.
@lustfuldolan_ @EthanDolan Irish people are so bad at taking compliments tbh it's not just me ??

2. Is there some truth in this? Oh dear.
Ugh, Irish people are so bad at dating. We're so self conscious and throw up ridiculous shields to defend ourselves #FirstDatesIRL

3. We wouldn't be the most patient us Irish, would we?
I might be the most impatient person in the world but, I'm Irish so I keep it all inside until I die..

4. We're not great at "having the one".
Who needs food when you can just fill yourself with pints in Ireland

5. Although it's here 99.99999% of the time, we can't hack the rain at all.
6. Infact, any weather extremes are a bit too much for us.
7. Handling the fear
