Be wary!

Irish Netflix subscribers are being warned to keep an eye out for an online scam doing the rounds at the moment.

The scam comes in the form of a bogus email, which tells users their account has been suspended until they update their details.

Experts say the message is fake, and are encouraging people to report it and not click any links.

Password sharing crackdown.

It's not the first time Netflix users have been given a warning recently.

With the streaming service announcing plans it will begin clamping down on users who share their passwords with others.

The steaming service intends to do this via software firm Synamedia, which has created an AI system which can be used to track down any account that has been sharing its details with one another.

The AI tech is reportedly so advanced it is able to determine where users are accessing the streaming service, so it can tell whether you’re at your actual home, a friends, or even at a holiday home, for example.

And somehow, it can even tell if people are sharing their account with friends or adult children…that’s just scary.
