It’s taken two years and several Instagram posts begging the platform to change back to its chronological beginnings, but finally Instagram is giving people what they want instead of what they think people want.
An Instagram spokesman told BuzzFeed that they have made some changes, "including an adjustment so that very old content does not get bumped up higher in feed.” He added it will "bring the more recent, timely stuff to the top."
Another change to Instagram has to do with the refresh button that will allow users to refresh the content when they want to rather then the app refreshing on its own and users losing the content they were looking at.
Instagram mentioned in a press release that, "With these changes, your feed will feel more fresh, and you won’t miss the moments you care about.”
