While the rest of the country gets back on its feet, North Kildare, West Wicklow and Wexford are still under a thick blanket of snow.
The National Emergency Coordination Group has highlighted these areas as the worst affected by the bad weather.
Many roads remain impassable with residents trapped in their homes since Wednesday night.
It's thought a number of schools in North Kildare, West Wicklow and Wexford will stay closed tomorrow due to the treacherous conditions, with decisions to be taken on a case by case basis.
Kildare and Wicklow County Councils are appealing for farmers and heavy machinery operators to help them clear roads.
@KildareCoCo welcomes the assistance of the farming community & qualified machinery operators in our attempts to reopen impassable routes. Assistance particularly required in Rathangan and North Kildare. Alerts on KCC website are announcing reopened routes on an ongoing basis.
