Look, we've been there. You lose the run of yourself, forget your limits and have one too many lemonades. A lot of people will admit that they've done silly things that they regret after alcohol... but many not as funny as this.
Martin McNally had enjoyed a night out with his girlfriend Nicole, but when they returned home for more drinks, Mr McNally from Dundee, Scotland, wanted to get hold of a mutual friend, and asked Nicole for their number - but instead she gave him his own number by mistake. Every time Mr McNally tried to call the number, it would beep and then send him a message saying he had missed a call.
According to the Express: Failing to recognise his own number on each message, Mr McNally drunkenly texted the number again and again, demanding "stop phoning me, I'm phoning you" - only to get the same message in reply.
Since he had had too much to drink, Mr McNally failed to notice his error and thought he and his friend were merely calling at the same time.
The "argument" lasted for more than five minutes, resulting in a string of calls and text messages that Mr McNally discovered when he woke up the next day - making him a laughing stock when he shared the evidence with his friends.
