You gouda brie kidding!
Most of us love a sprinkling of cheese - whether it's on baked potatoes, chips, or even on our beans on toast.
But it turns out we've been grating cheese wrong our whole lives.
A video of a block of cheese being grated horizontally has gone viral and our minds are blown.
Twitter user @beasymss shared the video with the caption, "OK, I was today years old when I found out THIS is how a cheese grater is used !? I feel a fool".

It turns out lying a box grater on its side and scraping the cheese on top is much tidier and safer than grating vertically.
The cheese collects inside the grater making it easier to tip into a bowl, whereas if you grate vertically you can never see how much cheese is in the bowl.
It also gives you more control over the block of cheese and makes grazing your fingers less likely.
The tweet has been shared 20,000 times, which suggests Bea isn't the only one who hasn't used a cheese grater this way.
