The top Google search trends for 2018 are here!

Even though The Republic of Ireland didn't qualify for the World Cup this year, it didn't stop people the Irish googling The FIFA World Cup.

The tornament took top spot on the search list in Ireland, while our historic victory over the All Blacks in rugby also sat in the top 10.

Did ya hear who passed away?

Second to Irish people's love of sport must be our (slightly morbid) interest in knowing who died.

The tragic death of electronic musician Avicii, as well as our own Dolores O’Riordan of The Cranberries top the search list.

Google Went Gaga for 'A Star Is Born'

We all heard rave reviews from people who saw Lady Gaga in her breakout role in  'A Star Is Born'.

We also searched for Hugh Jackman in ' The Greatest Showman' with Deadpool 2, Avengers: Infinity War, Venom and Black Panther all proving popular with the Irish this year.

Jaysus the weather is shocking lads.

Our year of extreme weather also lead to some interesting searches, with the Beast from the East bringing freezing temperatures all over Europe back in March made us eager to learn how to build igloos.

Here's the full top ten:
