Wonder Woman, one of the most successful films of 2017 so far, has been slated by Oscar-winning director James Cameron.
In an interview with the Guardian, he said the movie was a 'step backwards' for women, and that the character is 'an objectified icon'.
But Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins has hit back at James, taking to Twitter to say his 'inability to understand' the superhero is 'unsurprising' as he's not a woman.
