GAA star, Donal Reid has been labelled a hero after he jumped into action after spotting a woman in church who caught on fire.
The woman in question was attending the monthly 'healing mass' at St Patrick’s Church at Killygordon, Co Donegal last meeting. According to media outlets, the woman's hood brushed against one of the candles which sparked a flame.
When Donal spotted the small fire, he sprung into action and patted the hood of her coat to quench the flame before it got any worse.
Confessions of a Gaelic Footballer
Donal would be well known in the county of Donegal having been part of the All Ireland winning team which beat Dublin back in 1992. Donal is also an accomplished author having released his own book 'Confessions of a Gaelic Footballer'.
No news as of yet whether he is planning to write a follow up book but if he does, we hope he calls it 'Confessions of a Gaelic Footballing HERO'!
