'I’m out of here’ - McCarthy quits as Ipswich boss after Barnsley win
The Blues boss, who announced at the end of March he would be leaving his role at the end of the season, gave a three-minute press conference at the end of last night's game before revealing he was leaving.
Reacting to boos when young defender Barry Cotter was substituted in the second half, McCarthy said: “It was a disgraceful reaction, that but it’s the last time I’ll have to hear it because that’s my last game. I’m out of here.”
And with that he departed.

The club then put a tweet confirming the news, with a story published on the club website.
The rumour mill is in overdrive that Mick may be taking on a new role with West Brom although this is only speculation at present.
