A dog has spared a goalkeeper's blushes by stopping a goal in a third-division football game in Argentina.
The incident occurred at the weekend between Juventud Unida de Gualeguaychu and Defensores de Belgrano de Villa Ramallo.
Defensores were trailing 3-0 to Juventud when their goalkeeper made a horrific mistake.

He booted the ball directly into another player, who took possession and fired a shot towards what he thought was an empty net.
However, a clever canine appeared out of nowhere and sprinted across the line to block the shot with its body.
