The fire at the Slieve Bloom mountains at the Co. Laois/ Offaly border has been causing havoc in recent days, with road closures and the public being urged to stay away.
The major fire is still burning, but it has been contained.
However, Coilite have warned that that the fire is still not under complete control.
Firefighters, with assistance from the army, Air Corps and Coillte, have been tackling the blaze.
One firefighter has been hailed a hero after rescuing a fawn during the operation.
The story has been shared widely, after initally being posted on the Offaly Fire & Rescue Service Facebook page:
Met Éireann predict that there will be little or no rainfall for the next 10 days.
If you see a grass or gorse fire don't delay in calling 999 or 112. We want to extinguish the fires before they grow into a wildfire or threaten property or infrastructure like the @ESBNetworks pylons in this photo #Dublin #fire #Heatwave #HeatwaveIreland pic.twitter.com/NK9UJuPkVy
