The inquiry into the Grenfell Tower fire in England has been investigating how the fire started and spread, and how people were evacuated.

A report for the inquiry into the disaster has found the building should have been evacuated 46 minutes after the first 999 call.

A fire safety engineer says it was clear early on that people should not still have been given advice to stay put, which was a normal policy for that type of building. The first phone call to the emergency services was played at the hearing earlier today.

72 people died in the tragedy in west London in June last year.
