It's been eleven years since the release of the first Simpsons movie and the big news today is that another is being planned.
The Wall Street Journal announced the news about the Simpsons today, saying "[20th Century Fox CEO Stacey Snider] Snider has emphasised a revamp of Fox's approach to animation, bringing in a new partner to replace an expired deal with DreamWorks Animation after it was acquired by Comcast Corp.
"The film studio is partnering with the Fox television studio on a big-screen adaptation of the animated series Bob's Burgers, a second Simpsons movie in development, and a Family Guy film that would mix animation with live action, said people with knowledge of the projects."
The frst Simpsons movie in 2007, (which was simply called "The Simpsons Movie"), took in over €500 million at the box office.
Many will also be excited to hear today that details have also been revealed regarding a Family Guy movie.
It's reported it will combine animation and live action and it rumoured to be in development. The rumour-mill also suggests it will be similar to the Ted movies.
Family Guy has seen success after success, even after seventeen years on the small screen... we predict this will be a smash on the big screen too.
