Tinder users around the world were stopped from finding true love last night.
The dating app was down for a number of hours, with Tinder stating a "technical issue" was preventing users from logging on.
However, it turns out the problems were due to Facebook rolling out a number of security updates in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal.
Facebook is tightening restrictions on third-party access to users' data. Tinder requires its users to link their profiles to a Facebook account.
A technical issue is preventing users from logging into Tinder. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to have everyone swiping again soon.

The app is now back up and running but singletons aren't happy. They're complaining they they've lost their matches and potential love.
Ah lads, ye are taking the royal piss now. I’m shoving on 30 and shit like this isn’t going to help me find the love of my life. Sort it!
