Ed Sheeran's sold out Phoenix Park gigs  could be moved to a new location within the city park following a number of objections.

Locals living near the park have raised concerns about the scheduled concerts next summer.

He’s due to play three gigs next may near the Castleknock entrance to the Park.

Howard Mahony is a local Councillor in Castleknock for Fianna Fail, he says;

"I've no issue with any kind of music, any f entertainment or musician, I've no problem with it.

But you must pick locations that are user and people friendly."

There are concerns the situation could now escalate to 'Garthgate' levels, when the singers five dates were reduced to three at Croke Park before he cancelled all the entire series of concerts in 2014.

Other locations in the Phoenix Park that have been suggested include the (Wellington) monument or the 15 acres, near the Papal Cross.
