A dog was abandoned on Dublin's busy M50 yesterday.
The DSPCA are investigating after the young female terrier was found near the Red Cow junction.
A woman saw a car stopping and driving off yesterday and leaving the dog behind.
She stopped, picked up the dog and brought her to the DSPCA.
Dumping a dog in any location is illegal as the DSPCA reminds us, but they also say doing so on a busy motorway is incredibly dangerous.
The young terrier is now named Tina, and will be rehomed if she is not reclaimed in five days.
Tina is reportedly in good health.
