A new museum in Sweden will showcase the world's most disgusting food when it opens later this month.
The Disgusting Food Museum in Malmö will display 80 "delicacies" from around the globe, including cuy (roasted guinea pigs from Peru), Chinese mouse wine and casu marzu (a maggot-infested cheese from Sardinia).
Surströmming (fermented herring from Sweden), durian (stinky fruit from Thailand) and Hákarl (well-aged shark from Iceland) will also be on show.

Just arrived: Three Penis Wine (deer, seal, and Cantonese black dog). Yummy!!!!
But the exhibition isn't about making visitors vom.
The Disgusting Food Museum, which will officially open its doors on October 29th, aims to help people question their basic assumptions about food and to test the theory that "disgust is cultural and contextual".
Speaking to Lonely Planet, curator Samuel West said:
"I was thinking about how interesting it would be to dedicate a museum not to the most beautiful or tastiest food, but to the world’s most disgusting food. We hope that the museum can contribute a growing interest and acceptance of more ecologically sustainable protein sources, such as insects."
