Last year Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly visited Ireland in a quest to track down their ancestors. The show, called "Ant and Dec's DNA Journey", was filmed here as the pair both have Irish roots.

They visited Carrick-on-Shannon, Drumshanbo and Drumkeerin while they were here.

But, it's being reported that the show may be shelved because it includes scenes in which the pair drink alcohol.

ITV bosses have reportedly opted to refrain from adding the show to the programing schedule following Ant’s recent arrest and subsequent charge for driving under the influence.

The pair are understood to have traced their own family trees back to Country Leitrim, where they visited Irish pubs in Wynne’s Bar in Drumkeeran and Frank Davitt’s bar Drumshanbo.

We don't yet know if it's being axed, or if it's just being shelved for the time being.
