Derry Girls stars kept in the dark about what happens in series two

"Lisa McGee will not tell us anything!"

The second series of Derry Girls begins shooting this October, but the stars of the hit show don't have a clue what's in store for their characters.

Galway actress Nicola Coughlan, who plays Clare, told iRadio that creator and writer Lisa McGee is keeping them in the dark.

Speaking to Garry and Fionnuala on The Lift, the 31 year old revealed that they're getting the scripts in three weeks.

Derry Girls, which is set in a convent school in Derry in 1994, was a surprise hit with viewers across Ireland and the UK when it first aired in January.
