A couple in Israel have been fined over their choice of emojis in a message to a landlord.
The landlord claims he was deceived by the couple who showed interest in renting his property.

The apartment was taken off the market after several texts were exchanged between them, but the landlord says when contracts were mentioned, the couple cut all contact with him.
He brought them to the small claims court with the texts as evidence - including an emoji-filled one, which he says 'conveyed optimism' in renting his apartment.
The couple claim they weren't happy with the condition of the property and had gone on to rent elsewhere.
But the judge ruled in favour of the landlord and they ended up paying a 2,000 euro fine!

Bet you're wondering what the emojis were, yes?! They included the house with garden emoji, the flamenco dancer, the bunny couple, the chipmunk and the champagne emoji.
We're checking all of our texts very carefully right now!
