There was confusion at Dublin Airport this morning when evaluation alarms rang after a fault in the system.
There is a fault with our PA system at our Pier 1 gates @DublinAirport. The system is stuck on evacuation mode. There is NO evacuation of this area. Our sound engineers are currently investigating.

Passengers were left confused after the alarms started after 6:30am, and @S3Clarke tweeted:
“It would be great if staff at Dublin airport could provide some directions...”

Dublin Airport confirmed that the alarm was due to a fault in the system and that it is nothing to worry about.
A spokesperson from the airport said “There is a fault with our PA system at our Pier 1 gates in Dublin Airport.
"The system is stuck on evacuation mode. There is NO evacuation of this area. Our sound engineers are currently investigating."
