College courses Irish students are most likely to drop out of

A new study's revealed the third level courses students are most likely to drop out of before finishing first year.

The Higher Education Authority report's found Irish students studying architecture and construction are the least likely to progress to second year.

While medicine and healthcare students have the highest levels of completing their first year of college.

The HEA report discovered students who score high on their Leaving Cert are less likely to drop out than those who scored lower.

It also found that men were less likely to progress to second year than women.
