A study presented by Spanish researchers suggests that higher coffee consumption is linked to lower risk of death.

The research was presented during the European Society of Cardiology Congress in Barcelona.

According to USA Today, 20,000 people were studied over approximately 10 years and it was revealed that those who were coffee drinkers had a 64% lower risk of death compared to non- coffee- drinkers.

Dr Adela Navarro, a cardiologist at Hospital de Navarra, Pamplona in Spain said, “Our findings suggest that drinking four cups of coffee each day can be part of a healthy diet in healthy people.”
