Woman in her 50s killed after caravan blows off cliff in Co.Galway

It's understood the woman killed was from Switzerland.
The alarm was raised at around 7.45 this morning at Claddaghduff in Clifden.
A search was carried out on the beach below and the woman's body was recovered a short time later
It's expected a post mortem will be carried out later today.

A woman's body has been recovered from a beach off Galway after a caravan was blown from a cliff near Clifden earlier today.
The woman is believed to be aged in her fifties.
Earlier: Gardaí and the emergency services remain at the scene of an incident this morning, after a caravan was blown off a cliff in Go. Galway.
It's believed a woman, reportedly in her 50s, remains inside the caravan.
The incident occured in Claddaghduff, Co. Galway.

It comes as The Road Safety Authority is asking road users to exercise caution while using the roads today.
Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry will be worst affected by Storm Ali.

The RSA is asking road users to check local weather and traffic conditions and be aware of the conditions before setting out on a trip.
