A New York-based developer Abhishek Singh has created the coolest piece of tech we have seen this year.

A Polaroid style camera that instantly prints you a GIF.

Abhishek calls it The Instagif and he BUILT IT FROM SCRATCH - Here is what he had to say about it.

I built a camera that snaps a GIF and ejects a little cartridge so you can hold a moving photo in your hand! I'm calling it the "Instagif NextStep". Don't ask me why I built it, it sounded like a fun challenge and I always wanted to hold a moving photo. If it wasn't obvious, I was inspired by the Polaroid OneStep.

Each click takes a 3-second GIF and the cartridge that plays the video ejects automatically when the picture is ready, No Shaking Required.

When you want to take another photo, simply reload the cartridge, but if you don't want to lose the original GIF  just connect your computer to the camera before reloading and download the images you want.

WATCH How it works

All we need now is a camera that prints a flipbook
