There's a legal battle underway between Starbucks and a Californian family after claims they were served bloody Frappuccinos.

Unfortunately no, it wasn't a themed seasonal drink garnished with raspberry sauce for Halloween... Amanda Vice says the Frappuccinos she ordered for herself and her toddler daughter from a San Bernardino Starbucks in February 2016 were metallic smelling and blood-stained.

Vice initially thought her daughter was bleeding. However when she realised she wasn't, she reported the incident to Starbucks where she later learned that an employee had been bleeding before being removed from a work station.

The manager tried to offer the family free drinks for a week and $1,000 each compensation but the family’s solicitor, Stan Pekler, said the sum “does not begin to compensate the family for suffered injuries and damages for which Starbucks is liable.”

The case is ongoing.

As much as we love our morning coffees, we could do without that particular added extra!
