The Frenchman had planned to celebrate in style...but things went a little wrong.
Jimmy Gressier successfully defended his title in the under-23 race at the SPAR European Cross Country Championships on Sunday.
The French athlete completed the course in the Netherlands in an impressive time of 23:37 but it's his finish that will be remembered best.
The celebration didn't go according to plan but his performance was brilliant!

Holding a French flag in each hand, which he had grabbed from spectators, Jimmy launched himself forward with the intention to knee slide over the finish line.
He probably thought it would be a piece of cake as conditions were muddy.
But the two-time champion stopped just behind the line, tripping and landing face down on the ribbon.
In fairness, it would have looked amazing if he had managed to pull it off.
