Adidas will only use recycled plastics by 2024

Adidas has promised to only use recycled polyester in its shoes and clothing by 2024.

The company also say that it will stop using ‘virgin’ plastic in its offices, retail outlets, warehouses and distribution centers

This move that will save around 40 tons of plastic per year, starting in this year.

There will be more plastic than fish by weight in the world's oceans by 2050, accoridng to research.

Use of plastic worldwide has increased 20-fold over the past 50 years - only 14 percent is collected for recycling.
