People are bidding to win a single Dorito chip.

If you're a bit confused, this Dorito is almost 18 times the size of an ordinary Doritos chip.

Yes, a one-foot Dorito! And it's 100 per cent real and edible. Mmmmmm!

The tortilla chip has been created in partnership with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and comes packaged in a dinosaur egg which is encased in a metal box.

A popular Jurassic character, geneticist Dr Henry Wu, appears in a promo for the Jurassic Dorito to claim:

"I was right. The Doritos and dinosaur DNA are completely integrated."

The rare collectible is being sold through eBay , and the entire winning bid will go to the American Red Cross to help people affected by the volcanic events in Hawaii, where many scenes from the Jurassic World films were shot.

The bidding closes at 11:15pm tonight and so far there's been 95 bids, with the highest $14,959 (€12,920).
