SURE, IT HAPPENS
A man who tried to drive his SUV down a pedestrian path in Kerry was trapped in his jeep all night.
The man, who's only been identified as "a dub" was trying to access Dunquin pier via its famously steep and narrow access path, which is only accessible to pedestrians.
Blasket Island Ferries posted a photo of the unfortunate man on Facebook this morning with the (pretty harsh) caption:
"This genius decided to drive down to the pier in Dunquin which is a pedestrian only walkway! He wedged the jeep at the corner which means no one can access the pier this morning. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. he's been in the jeep all night! A dub!
There's still no update on whether the man has been freed but access to the pier was blocked when the picture was posted to Facebook.
