Further proof the 90's was clearly the best era for TV...
It looks as though a whole new generation is going to be treated to the Rugrat's experience, as Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures have officially announced the return of the extremely popular 90's cartoon.
And the same charters look set to return too, with Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Lil, Susie and Angelica all back plus some new characters.
Nickelodeon and Paramount have announced 26-new episodes, along with a feature length film set for release on Nov. 13, 2020.
And if you're a fan of the original show, fear not because the show’s original creators - Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain - will be involved with the new episodes as executive producers.
“Rugrats is hands-down one of the most celebrated cartoons in TV history, and we are thrilled for a whole new audience to meet these iconic characters in brand-new adventures. What was true in 1991 when the original show premiered is still true today: kids are fascinated with the world of babies. We can’t wait for today’s kids to meet Tommy, Chuckie and pals,” said Sarah Levy, COO of Viacom Media Networks and interim president of Nickelodeon
There's nothing like a bit of 90's nostalgia to help you through a dreary Tuesday!
