Yann Moix has come in for criticism over his comments about older women.
A well-known French writer is being slated online after he revealed he would be "unable" to love a woman over 50 - despite being 50 himself.
In an interview with Marie Claire, Yann Moix claimed older women are "invisible" to him.
Moix, who is also a film director and TV presenter, said:
"I prefer younger women's bodies, that's all. End of. The body of a 25-year-old woman is extraordinary. The body of a woman of 50 is not extraordinary at all."
The award-winning author also confessed his preference for Asian women, which he specified as "Koreans, Chinese and Japanese".
Moix's been mocked on social media, with many joking that women over 50 are "breathing a sigh of relief" at his comments, while others shared photos of celebrities aged 50 and over.
