Kendrick Lamar has been awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Music.
The rapper won it for his 2017 album DAMN.
It's the first time a non-classical, non-jazz artist has won the prize.
DAMN was described by the Pulitzer Prize as:
"A virtuosic song collection unified by its vernacular authenticity and rhythmic dynamism that offers affecting vignettes capturing the complexity of modern African-American life."
The Pulitzer Prize, which was founded in 1917, first established its Music category in 1943.
